AYAVA submits a $1.5 Million proposal to USAID

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Government of Sweden, and Duke Energy Corporation invited proposals to respond to Powering Agriculture: An Energy Grand Challenge for Development Competition.
AYAVA proposed a solar photovoltaic powered hydroponic farming solution to be constructed in Palestine, which would the first ever hydroponic farm in Palestine, and the first farm to be fully dependent on solar energy integrated with passive climate control solutions.
The proposed project would revolutionize the agribusiness in the Middle East overcoming the access to land and water restrictions caused by the political turbulence in the region.
